there is always bad moments

lately i've been feeling like there is no tomorrow, like my world is falling down and i feel like i'm a worthless piece of trash, then i wonder why am i such a rotten apple falling from a tree yet not quite landing. is there any hope around that keeps me up?what is it how come i can't see it where is that hope? maybe someday i'll be able to fly and dream on in a world that means joy and where there is no pain and no worries. but until that day comes i still fee like that piece of worthless trash

NO on Proposition 8

No on proposition 8!!! But what is proposition 8?

Proposition 8 says that marriage should only be valid in the eyes of CA if the couple is one Woman and one Man. In other words Proposition 8 is against gay marriage.

I believe that Gay marriage is not something that should be segragated. Girls marrying girls and or Guys marrying guys is not something that can hurt the community. there is no reason in my point of view why gay marriage shouldn't be allowed. There may be different reasons on why same sex couples want to be together and I say if they are prohibited to do so doesn't mean that people are going to stop doing it. Some women and some men suffer in silence teases around the world, not just California, because they are gay and because they are seen as infectuous viruses that can be contagious. These people have the same right to live a happy life loving freely without being told who to love. these people should have a right to be recognized by the state as couple because sometimes is the gay marriages that live healthier marriages.

I believe that in gay marriages there is more respect, more union, more equality, the same sex united can be powerful. SAY NO on PROPOSITION 8!!!!

My Trip to The Museum of the Man

Going to the museum of the man was awesome last year. This year though the trip was all messed up. Not because it was boring but because first, some girls went off ahead on a different bus than the rest of the girls the thing was that the teachers didn't get on the bus either and Connie was really worried that they were going to go the wrong way. When we did get Balboa Park the girls were there and well Connie was relieved. Then when we finally made to the Museum of the man Nicole had arrived already with her girls and then she told us that the Free day was last week NOT today so we ended up going back to the Aerospace Museum, but it wasn't bad in there I actually thought that the planes that were for exhibition were pretty cool looking and then I got to read some of the Histories of some great inventions from World War I & II. But at the end we were all tired and we were hungry but,l we got back to school safe and in time before our stomachs' insides started eating each other. LOL just kidding. LUVS

School in Ancient Egypt vs. Today

School in Ancient Egypt is similar to school today in few ways, their lessons came from textbooks like ours come from textbooks too. In ancient Egypt learning to read was very important to find a good job and today is the same, if you don't have a good education then you can't get a job where they pay you well enough to get your basic necessities and still have money for the wants. I could only find few similarities and that's why I decided to do a comparison on the differences between life in school then and now. Today, anybody can study no matter what race and or what your level in society might be. Back then only the children born to Pharaoh's, government officials, scribes and priest were attending the schools. Also the schools were held outdoors and now they are held indoors with exception of Physical education (PE). One last point I want to compare is that in ancient Egypt only boys were allowed to study and girls were only allowed to learn at home with whatever their parents could teach them, now we live in a society were girls and guys are allowed to learn and study the same things.

Living in Ancient Egypt- School

  • System of writing with hieroglyphics took many years to learn

  • One or two children in every hundred learned to read and write well

  • Usually only the children of Pharaohs, and government officials, as well as the children of the most important people were the ones that learned to read and write

  • Young scribes practiced writing on boards

  • Experienced scribes wrote on papyrus scrolls, Scribes usually started school at the age of four and ended at age fifteen

  • Normally only boys went to school, girls were not allowed to go to school

  • Classes were held in the open air

  • Lessons were based on written textbooks that didn't change for centuries

  • Textbooks were long scrolls made up of several sheets of papyrus

  • Learning things by heart was very important as well as learning to speak clearly and confidently
